Why a one-day recoat

A big change in look. A fraction of the cost and time.

Most tired floors don't need to be sanded down to bare wood. When your hardwood qualifies, a recoat delivers a remarkable refresh for far less money, far less mess, and far less downtime.

Before You Sell

Make the floors part of your first impression.

Before the photos. Before the showings. Before buyers walk through the door.

Floors are one of the largest surfaces buyers see. When they look worn, the whole room can feel worn. When they look fresh, the home presents differently.

Before you spend on replacement or commit to full refinishing, let Tru Finish assess what you already have. A one-day recoat may deliver the improvement your home needs while keeping your listing preparation moving.

Give buyers something beautiful to walk into.

Questions

Good to know.

What's the difference between a recoat and a full refinish?

A recoat refreshes the existing finish and adds a new protective coat, without sanding down to bare wood, so it's faster and less disruptive. A full refinish sands the floor to raw wood, which is needed for deep damage or a major color change.

Can my floor be recoated?

Many floors with dull finishes, traffic paths, and light surface scratches are good candidates. Floors worn through to bare wood or with deep damage usually need refinishing. Text a few photos and Dan will tell you.

Will a recoat remove scratches?

A recoat improves the look of light surface scratches in the finish. Scratches that go into the wood itself will usually still be visible; sanding is what removes those.

Can the color change with a recoat?

A recoat can often adjust sheen and tone down unwanted tint. A substantial color change, like going from red oak to a light greige, needs a full refinish.

How soon can we walk on the floor and move furniture back?

It depends on the finish used. Dan will give you exact walking, furniture, and rug timing when he schedules your job, so you can plan photos or a move around it.

What affects the price?

Square footage, the floor's condition, the service needed, and stairs or extra prep. Send photos and an approximate floor area for a fast, free estimate.
